Representative Positions

Public Investment Analyst

Analysts play a vital role in the evaluation and execution of investments. Analysts generally work in two to four person teams that cover multiple industries and assist in the identification, assessment, recommendation and monitoring of investments. Analysts are expected to conduct due diligence, analyze and ultimately recommend investment opportunities.

As part of the investment process, a Public Investment Analyst’s responsibility may generally include:

  • Conducting detailed industry and company-specific due diligence
  • Constructing a fundamental company valuation
  • Analyzing the return profiles of the different securities in the company’s capital structure
  • Assessing appropriate entry and exit price, timing and trading strategy (working with the trading desk)
  • Evaluating hedging strategies (working with the trading desk)
  • Once an investment is made, analysts often take an active role in driving positions to a successful conclusion through direct participation in insolvency or other restructuring processes and/or by providing recommendations to company management and boards.

General Qualifications

Direct Lending Associate

Associates play a vital role in the evaluation and execution of investments. Associates generally work in two-to-three person teams and assist in the identification, assessment, recommendation, execution and monitoring of investments. Associates are both encouraged and expected, shortly after joining the firm, to take on a leadership role in conducting due diligence and in analyzing and ultimately recommending investment opportunities.

A part of the investment process, Direct Lending Associates’ responsibilities may include:

  • Partnering with a senior deal professional to perform work as outlined above.
  • Conducting detailed industry and company-specific due diligence
  • Constructing a fundamental company valuation
  • Analyzing the company’s capital structure
  • Evaluating alternative financing structures
  • After thoughtful analysis of the risk/reward profile of the potential investment, the team will make a recommendation to the investment committee.
  • The deal team is responsible for spearheading the deal execution and documentation process.

General Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in investment banking, leveraged finance or restructuring required
  • Excellent analytical, financial and problem-solving skills

Portfolio Analyst for Direct Lending

Portfolio Analysts are responsible for monitoring the performance of corporate loan investments, providing assistance to underwriting teams, and general portfolio monitoring and reporting.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Monitor 15-20 corporate loan investments
  • Provide assistance to underwriting teams with assigned investments
  • General portfolio management including reviewing company financials, writing summary reports, and providing real time updates on company performance to Private Credit senior leadership
  • Utilizing the firm’s proprietary software tools for company tracking and reporting
  • Communicate with portfolio company management

General Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant experience (i) in a credit monitoring group at a commercial or investment bank or credit investment manager, (ii) in a transaction advisory group at a consulting or public accounting firm, or (iii) other similar experience
  • Strong financial accounting knowledge
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skill
  • Self-motivated and driven; ability to work effectively in a team
  • Outstanding attention to detail

Fund Accountant

Fund Accountant’s environment is fast paced and dynamic, which requires employees that are adaptive and eager to learn new skills.

A Fund Accountant’s responsibilities may generally include:

  • Coordinating month-end close process and review monthly NAV
  • Reviewing complex investor allocations / PE style waterfalls
  • Preparing and analyzing various reports for management, investors and regulators
  • Overseeing external administrators
  • Overseeing the audit and financial statement process and liaise with auditors
  • Evaluating and perform various internal control functions

General Qualifications

  • 3-6 years’ experience at a public accounting firm in their financial services business, or direct experience at an asset management firm or fund administrator
  • CPA and/or CFA is a plus

Operations Specialist

Operation Specialists are responsible for supporting the lending and distressed funds.

An Operations Specialist’s responsibilities may generally include:

  • Managing reporting requirements across multiple funds including review of daily P&L and control diagnostics
  • Working with our Middle Office provider and Trustee to help maintain/review daily cash, position, and accrual reconciliations associated with the portfolio
  • Reviewing bank debt trade settlement packages including assignment agreements and funding memos
  • Working directly with front office on new issue transactions as well as ad hoc requests relating to P&L, exposure, and trade activity inquiries regarding the portfolio
  • Partnering with tax accounting, reporting and treasury/financing teams on daily support requirements
  • Maintaining fund transactions and inventory in a vendor supported portfolio accounting system
  • Participating in a broad range of operational projects

General Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the financial services industry with a primary focus on bank debt
  • Track record of strong drive and ambition
  • Strong knowledge of (and keen interest in) common financial products such as equities, bonds and derivatives
  • Excellent Excel skills, technically savvy and strong analytical skills
  • Comfortable communicating directly with internal partners, front office personnel and senior management

Client Service Associate

The Client Service Associate role handles a variety of customer service responsibilities related to investor onboarding, capital activity and information distribution. As a member of the Investor Relations Operations team, a Client Service Associate regularly interacts with the Investor Relations/Business Development team, internal and external fund counsel, the funds’ administrators, and members of the Firm’s operations and accounting teams.

A Client Service Associate’s responsibilities may generally include:

  • Having ownership of the capital activity process across multiple fund complexes and multiple funds-of-one including investor subscription, redemption, and transfer processes for our evergreen funds and multiple closings, capital calls and distributions for our commitment-based funds
  • Coordinating investor document collection process by working closely with the investor, fund administrator, and fund counsel
  • Reviewing reconciliation with fund administrators to ensure accurate processing of capital activity and investor records
  • Scaling team infrastructure to support new funds
  • Producing and updating internal reporting for the Investor Relations/Business Development team, legal and compliance, fund accounting, financing, firm accounting and the investment team
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements across all areas of responsibility including the use of new technologies
  • Assisting with cross-departmental projects to improve the flow of information across the firm
  • Supporting Customer Relationship Management (CRM) framework

A Reporting Analyst’s responsibilities may generally include:

General Qualifications

  • 4-6 years’ experience at a hedge fund or other financial institution, in a role requiring familiarity with risk and return concepts such as alpha/IRR/ROA/ROE/Multiple of Money/Beta/Vol, etc. Bonus if candidate has experience with Private Credit, BDC’s, etc.
  • CFA or desire to pursue CFA preferred
  • Excellent Excel skills, technically savvy and experienced in analyzing large data files. Bonus if candidate has experience with programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python, VBA)
  • Strong academic track record as demonstrated by SAT scores and GPA

The Investor Relations and Marketing team is responsible for the strategic management of investor and prospective investor relationships. The Investor Relations Product Specialist supports the investor relations and business development functions across all products, interfaces with investment professionals to develop a deep understanding of  investments, positions and portfolios in the context of a given strategy, prepares materials and explains the investments and fund returns to investors.

General Qualifications
